Birgit Brock-Utne is a professor in the Institute for Educational Research at the University of Oslo in Norway. From 1987 through 1992, she was a professor at the University of Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. Dr. Brock-Utne has also worked with the Namibia Association of Norway, the Ministry of Education in Namibia, and the German development agency, D.S.E., at the historically black universities in South Africa.
